We've gone to Grimes Plaza for over five years now and are very happy with the care provided by Dr. Wilson and his staff. They are professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. We no longer live in the Grimes area, but we choose to make the drive back to see Dr. Wilson. His treatment pricing is very affordable, and the results have been exceptional for both of our dogs and our cat. Highly recommend.
Admittedly my cat was sick when I took him in and he looked it, but Dr Aaron Wilson was abrupt and severely lacking in bedside manner. He diagnosed my cat before examining him and told me he needed to be put to sleep "if not today then tomorrow" before even telling me what was wrong. His actual exam took less than 2 minutes and he didn't ask any questions. I chose to get a second opinion and got completely different information and experience from Healing Paws and Dr. Rouser in Ankeny. 3 months later and my cat has put on weight and is looking healthier!
Our family has taken our dog to Dr. Wilson for just about 2 years now. He does an exceptional job. He takes time to explain what tests and shots are needed. He also takes time to explain what type of diet we should be using and offers home care tips. Not only is Dr. Wilson super personable his staff is excellent too. Dr. Wilson is the best! I have taken my cats here for years. When we got our new puppy, our breeder used Dr. Wilson as well, so he already had all my dog's records. I get all my pet food here too.
Dr. Wilson took my call late on a Saturday night and gave me some tough advice. I ulitmately had to say good bye to my dog at the ER, but he later found out on his own and sent a card that my family really appreciated. Best vet in the DSM metro!
